For About Five Decades Poem by Mohammad Younus

For About Five Decades

For about five decades,
I have wandered as a devoted student of the Qur'an,
Yet its depths remain boundless—
its wisdom infinite.

Each verse carries a weight that settles
into the crevices of the human soul,
igniting sparks of transformation.

In a world fractured and trembling,
I am convinced the Qur'an calls out—
louder than ever—
an anchor in chaos, a balm for despair.

Its voice pierces through the din of prejudice,
dissolves the walls of fanaticism,
and melts the chains of sectarian strife.

Like a mirror, it reflects our shared humanity,
brushing away the malice
that darkens our hearts.

The Qur'an is not just a text;
it is a timeless force—
a quiet, steady river—carving through stone,
reaching those thought unreachable.

Its enduring wisdom whispers guidance
for this age of dissonance,
offering clarity to the seeker
and light to the lost.

Now, more than ever, the world must listen,
for within its verses lies the blueprint—
for hope and healing—
a force as eternal as the stars,
yet as near as our breath.
