For Love In Commitment Poem by George Krokos

When you speak I will surely listen
if the words you have for me glisten.
At the right time I'll be waiting here
so make no mistake it must be clear

My ears, heart, and mind will be open
if you have such words to be spoken.
I'll listen for as long as it takes
so a right impression in time makes.

It may rarely be when this occurs
then be rest assured if it concurs.
I wouldn't like any words to miss
that are only meant for me in this.

You're the reason I live for today
there could not be any other way.
If you doubt whatever I mention
both of us may be in contention.

We'll need to re-examine our hearts
and remove all the unwanted parts
that are obstructing our fulfilment
towards a real love in commitment.
