For My Little Boy Poem by Alesia Leach

For My Little Boy

For my little boy,
who brings me so much pride and joy.

He captured my heart,
but then he did from the start.

It is really quite simple,
with his smile and his dimple.

I will be sad when he grows up,
but there is one thing I am sure of.

He will always be mine,
forever entwined.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

I can relate to a mother's natural feelings! When my son was born to us after 12 years of long waiting, how much of joy and pride we experienced! Let us be careful of not to be very possessive of our children as they have to divide their love among many! I am sure your son will be so proud of himself when he sees this poem and glad of his mother!

A nice poem. He is 15+ now and so I wonder how long more 'He will always be mine'!
