For My Lonely Cup Poem by Tushar Ray

For My Lonely Cup

Rating: 5.0

Behold the magic
My cup is nearly empty
Not too long ago however
It was brimming in juicy nectar

I suddenly noticed
Nectar in the cup nearly vanish
Down the busy path of my edgy journey
Life has taken its toll
Due to the discords
Between mind-body and my soul
Revealing the hallmark of deep stress
Creeping out of their secret space
Now visible on my ailing body
In lines and traces

Yet, depths I gained haven't been in vain
In spite of all turmoil, agony and pain
I feel something deep within
As part of my lasting gain
I see the Truth holding my feeble bowl
As my inmost beloved, as absolute Soul
As I lurk behind veils of stress and strain

Now I promise I will
Keep tending my deathless reality
And using persistent Will
Restore fullness in my decaying entities
Aiming healing Prana to the ailing parts
With blessing from my beloved Majesty
Just create the most of all remains
Making myself lively again

Thus in the end I am certain
My void will be void-less
Regaining spontaneity of my playful soul
For the sake of my cup alone

Wow! An amazingly heart-felt poem, Tushar! Great rhythm and rhyme, with an honest and straightforward approach to your life. In this poem you have shared a part of yourself and it is very tender and touching, allowing us to see a side of your life, that I feel you don't often share. It's really beautiful and I feel a gentle resignation beneath your poetical words. I love how in the last verse, your spirit seems to come alive and be playful once again. Your poem is very quietly, inspiring a great deal! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
