Towards A Noble Desire Poem by Tushar Ray

Towards A Noble Desire

Rating: 5.0

Most adults at times are caught in a tug of war
Amid gratification of ego and own ethical role
And typically in most cases they feel strong pull
Towards their affinity for a self-indulgent goal

So, challenge to a person is to find inner poise
Staying steady in his center with an alert mind
Guarding himself keenly against troubling urge
Focusing to overall good never looking behind

The first thought is often our true feedback guide
Spontaneously appearing as signal in the heart
Hence listening to our spirit self instead of the mind
Good decision can be made in a very short time

Meditation is the best way to locate the poised mind
Tuning into very center and communing with soul
Then watching own thought and bent of the mind
One encodes the right decision tilting to proper goal

Hallmark of good desire is the maintenance of poise
When decision is made with the totality in mind
Having a win-win situation for the parties concerned
Basic inequity of the issue is correctly addressed

This one is fantastic, what an intense message it carries about listening to our spirits instead of our minds. Going with our first thoughts and feelings about something we make better decisions. I find this to be true, amazing how it has been written into a poem so gently and thoughtfully! Thank you, Tushar. RoseAnn

A fantastic poem, very intense with a beautiful message for us all. Listening to our spirit selves instead of our minds to make good decisions quickly, going with our immediate thoughts and feelings, therefore having a win-win situation and doing no wrong. I believe this to be true as it is how I make decisions, instantaneously. Really great poem, Tushar! You are amazing at translating from one language to another and keeping meanings, feelings and purposes so closely, not losing much of anything in the translation. Great work, Tushar, I for one completely appreciate all the work you go through to post Tagore's work. A heartfelt thank you for doing this, Tushar! RoseAnn
