For Now I Am Settled: (14th March,2021)

I'm not searching for paradise in an estranged world,
Only for a slither of a dream between great myths.
I'm really not interested in piety or snow white purity,
Only the flesh and blood of the flawed & the ordinary.
I'm not trying to build a proverbial empire of gold.
I'm just trying to nurture a little plot of neglected land.
I'm not reaching for comprehensive answers to life's meaning.
My only focus is on refining the quality of my questioning.
I'm not concerned about an absolute creator of Being.
I only want to celebrate humanity's flowers as they bloom.
I'm not waiting for wise prophets or guardian angels,
I'd rather reinvigorate my faith in the sweet flow of time.
I'm not desperately grasping for heroes, idols or gurus,
Only for myriad opportunities to know myself better.
I'm not attempting to compose an epic hymn or poem.
I'm just hoping to connect fragments of these chaotic days.
I'm not looking for inspiration's lightning flashes,
I only wish to spend quiet time with Nature's treasures.
I'm not expecting sumptuous miracles, anytime soon,
Only the chance to share my art & labours with others.
I'm not stretching out for cold stars in the heavens above.
I'd much rather maintain the habits of warm communion.
