For Plan Canada's I Am A Girl Campaign But I Would Like To Say I Have A Beautiful Son

For Plan Canada's I am a Girl campaign But I would like to say I have a beautiful son
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
I made 5 donations earlier this day
They were four $10 donations to different organisations including Plan Canada
And one $30 donation to UNICEF for a polio vaccine to the less fortunate
And laughingly to myself, I thought I am a glamourous and beautiful Mrs. Hudson of Sherlock Holmes fame
And it was the only name that came to my mind
For beautiful and sensuous heroines do not cook and bake goodies;

Instead they seduce and make lovers of difficult men
And I am grateful for this heaven conferred attribute
I did long for faithful lovers who turn to putty at the very calling of their name
In either an engineer's voice or a cooing tone
And I did have them amidst work and protocol
But in between, I had lost the ability to joyfully tend to the everyday duties surrounding
My exciting life in a monotonous setting of homemaking and motherhood
And my other life of publishing in science and engineering and arts and literature;

I am a feminine feminist and have always been so
For although he is a darling in many ways
My husband has to have fresh food on the table
So much so that he fends for himself for luncheon most of the time
I am sure this is the case with many women
Unless they are different from me;

But with an ardent love for feminism in working women
The joy of little things are lost
Romance might win the day
But the art of cooking and serving is as my mother taught me
Also the part of being a beautiful woman who is sought after by men;

Plan Canada's I am a Girl campaign should emphasize the cultivation of this trait in girls
As it should in boys
For I had seen an apron: If you cook for chocolate, I cook for sex
With the picture of a man wearing it;

Of course, half empty stomachs work the best for lovemaking
And a man who is satiated with his appetite for sex
Does exist but he is a "love machine"
And remember this truth about love machines
"How they make one dizzy".
