For Rajanigandha, My Mistress In Love Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

For Rajanigandha, My Mistress In Love

Who is, who is
The maiden
Humming,
Humming the song,
The song of love,
Who, who the maiden,
The mistress,
The mistress of love,
Love and dreams,
Standing near the gate
In the garden
So sweetly-scented
And blooming,
Fragrant and icy white,
Dreamy and fanciful,
A maid never,
Never seen before,
So romantic?

Standing with
A bouquet,
A bouquet of love,
Her best wishes
Under the starry skies
When it is dark and lonely
She stands,
Standing before
A maid unknown,
Never, never seen
So sweetly flower like,
On seeing her,
My heart, my soul asking,
Who, who the dream girl,
Who, who the flower girl,
Who, who the fairy, the celestial damsel
Humming, humming the song of love
In the Garden of Nature
And that too under the misty nights?

N.B. Rajanigandha is a stalky, grassy flower plant with the stick full of icy-white fragrant blooms.
