Waltzing and Cavorting in summers dying embers
Floats a disciplined gaggle in a moonshaped pond
They drift, quietly, like a feathered armada
Sailing sternly with their feathered breasts bowed high
Like nestled galleons in a winged soaked Regatta
They move in unison on the winds and currents
Heading towards the mouth of the open river
Their future uncharted, and destination unbound
Top marks for this beautiful poem and to my favourite too.
Marvellous poem dear poet Kevin. Loved your description of the Gees floating and gliding in the water with peace.
