O look closely at this world so potent;
You crude deniers of nuanced beauty.
And embrace the wonder of the moment.
It is the frozen past that you lament,
But Time's green sea ebbs and flows most freely.
O look closely at this world so potent!
Your dead minds are dumb to fresh sounds and scents.
Awaken from the sleep of apathy.
And embrace the wonder of the moment.
Keen artists and poets never relent
In their wild pursuit of hidden glories.
O look closely at this world so potent!
And why is it you take care for raiment?
Be like the lilies that bloom lazily.
And embrace the wonder of the moment.
O why do you grow so grey and silent?
Life is a multi coloured mystery.
O look closely at this world so potent!
As you drive out all that is transcendent,
You cling to hackneyed, Day - Glo fantasies
O look closely at this world so potent!
And embrace the wonder of the moment.
A great write.... very insightful.. liked the way it is penned

This is REALLY lovely and heralds the poets of the golden age of verse. I love the lilting repetition of the lines which are intertwined and give an overall flavor of having imbibed something sweet. GREAT WRITE.
