For The Sake Of Love Poem by Timothy Long

For The Sake Of Love

It's a lonely road as you get old,
Looking back then and now,
Many will know it to be true,
The sun may spread across your face,
Your heart is full of steel,
Can my love appeal,
It's never too late to let your fears go,
This soul will never cry for another like it does for you,
The world is going dim, but you still appear to be glowing,
Inspired by your company, you're everything that one needs,
We feel apart together,
I beg you to give me one more chance and I will prove myself better than I have,
If you can hear me stop your crying,
If you don't stop trying, I won't stop fighting,
Are feelings a secret game?
I'm at a loss of words and not really sure what she deserved,
Is this love more than a mistake,
This heart cracks every time you lie,
Our love cannot be repaired another time,
No darling we are not fine,
Loving you is romantic suicide.
