O Lord,
I seek Your guidance, then close my eyes and walk the path You have destined for me. When obstacles halt my steps, I remind myself that I am treading the path God has chosen for me, thus nothing can harm me! —For You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
You know all that occurs between me and my heart whenever I falter. You know every fear I face with Your support. I feel Your presence every time I call upon You, ending my prayer with—For You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
You know how many times the thorns of the road wounded me, and how often I place my hand on my heart, feeling its ache under the weight of calamities. I comfort myself by saying—For You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
Each time sorrow visits me, I never hesitate to ask You, nor do I hold back in humbling myself at Your door, laying my complaints and tears before You, clinging to the ropes of Your knowledge and the gentleness of Your power—For You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
When pain strikes me on this path, I seek Your companionship, feeling Your wisdom, your immense kindness, and gracious generosity.
And I think: God would never guide me, only to abandon me! So I lean on my trust in You, endure the blows of darkness, and You grace me with the serenity of contentment. Thus, I walk this path to You, unburdened by sorrow— for You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
Thank You, God, for never letting me down whenever I knock at Your door. Thank You for inspiring me to pray and walk the path towards You. Thank You for holding my hand in this desert of life, safe in the knowledge that—You know, and I do not; You are able, and I am not.
