Forest Of Dreams Poem by Malabika Ray Choudhury

Forest Of Dreams

I travel to this forest as if in a trance,
my journey begins here, my heart pulsates to
the mellifluous koel cooing most melodious sonata,
serenade me to a tranquil tangerine reverie.

there are majestic tall trees, and there are shrubs and bushes...
composed and demure,
in the faraway forest of my starry effervescent dreams.

with lavender yearnings the tall trees spread their branches,
aspiring to reach the vermillion sky,

shrubs and bushes, humbled and unnoticed, emanate saffron imagination
sprinkling lilac dreams on my musing eyes.

I smell the misty breeze rippling from birds' wings,
hear a chartreuse waterfalls falling on coral rocks, mystifying my existence.
gentle strokes of raindrops create a magical cadence of rhapsody,

my dreams spread their wings in kaleidoscopic neon horizon...
