Forever And A Day Poem by Barry Spurlock

Forever And A Day

Her touch is my everything-
That which keeps me going.
Intensifying every breath I take-
Like a fire melting snow.
If lost without her one day if comes-
Lost I would be until my end comes.
Falling unbroken is what I would feel like-
If her voice I could never hear for the rest of my life.
I can only understand so many things-
But her love is the one thing that I will understand everlastingly.
Burrowed so deep within her ever flowing love-
At times I feel like she's my fallen angel from above.
If light is life-
Then I will never have to worry about dying.
For she is the brightest most beautiful star-
That I always see even in the day shining.
True music is her voice when she speaks to me-
Always playing it over and over in my head.
Her suffering is my pain-
Her love my resurrection.
Never satisfied enough after kiss-
I always need another.
True love is in the air-
Between us when we look at each other.
She's my one and only-
There can never be any other.
My weight and burdens-
Are lifted by her laugh.
When I love her so much-
How is there anything else to say.
I can only imagine what could be-
If I ever got to lost.
In her beautiful eyes-
The ones I can't see enough of.
She is the one-
That I hope I am the last to see.
When the end if my time comes-
And my last breath has escaped.
Her smile-
Could strike any man dead.
If he only stopped and took the time-
To acknowledge it.
Her beauty-
Is to mystifying for me to understand.
And her hair I can't quite tell-
How I can't sail away through the waves in it.
And life as I know it shivers at her presence-
Although I can't blame it.
Her beauty is incomparable-
I insist.
But even with all her beauty she's only human-
So she will still be royalty in my eyes and stay my princess.
But no matter what happens my love for her shall stay-
And she will still be mine always, forever, and a day.
