Forever Autumn Poem by Jean Dament

Each Autumn brings with it sweet memories of you;
Where I often return to that precious Autumn day we met;
When I suddenly fell in love....it's true,
Then eventually we had to part...& with much regret,
But I'll always savor those special times that we shared;
When we basked in the warmth of sunshine with gratifying affection,
Showing each other how much we cared,
It now leaves me....lost in gentle reflection,
Of those times we walked down lovely Autumn roads....so much in love,
With no troubles to mar our way,
Our souls were light & carefree...like a dove,
Those tender memories will always remain within my heart...& forever will stay.
