Forever Lost Poem by Isaac Helms

Forever Lost

Recites as a poet to a muse
Can’t explain only confuse
More problems fall at my feet
No one I like I meet

I look at myself now
Try to restore a broken vow
No one can compare to you
Have no idea what to do

Every second since you left
I seek happiness even by theft
Do anything for a thrill
A hunger in me has no fill

You who seemed so sure
A life untainted and pure
Your love is all I will know
And for some reason I let you go

I know the fault is mine
Cut down the tree of Devine
You have lost all faith in me
Why even your memory can’t let me be

There is a void in my heart
My reality already torn apart
Not able to except this and
to you I am forever lost
