Forget The Song Of Love Now Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Forget The Song Of Love Now

Rating: 5.0

Where can I hear the sound of your song
Under the shadow of which tree you
Sit and sing
The lands are barren now and birds are
Gone to distant lands how a song in
Your heart rings

The winter, the rain and the sweet spring
Have all vanished in smoke and dusts
Living the cruel summer
To cast its doom across the land and how
You weave words of praise for the
Beauty of a flower

Does not your heart bleed for the beauty
And splendor of the land looted by
The greedy souls
Why not you sing a tune of resentment
Leaving in the hearts of plunderers
Bleeding holes

Come out to sit on that bereft stone and
Look at the dry clouds seeking rain to
Quench their thirsts
Forget the song of love you have woven
For a true and noble love in a young
Heart forever lasts
