Forgive Me Poem by Josh Burnett

Forgive Me

All I talk about when I speak my words
Is how much I really like you and
How much I don't wanna lose you.
I know that at times I can be so foolish.
But isn't it true that we all can be at times.
I just wished that you could know girl
That through this whole time
I haven't stopped thinking about you.
And I just hope you think about me too.

Forgive me for the dumbest mistake I've ever made.
I hope you know that I never want to let you go.
But there's nothing else that I can really say.
Because my words will never compare to you.
And I hope that I'll be able to one day hold you.

Sometimes my heart hurts in a way that I can't understand.
That leads to the doing of things that don't make sense.
It's been so long since I've heard from you I didn't know what to do.
I was afraid that I might have had lost you.
But doing what I just done might have lead to that.
And I know that is one thing I never want to do.
Well I'm laying here tonight trying not to cry.
And the tears make it hard to see out of my eyes.
Was it really all that bad to make me this sad?
Could it be the shadows of doubt enter in my mind.
And I hope that you are doing just fine.

Forgive me for the dumbest mistake I've ever made.
I hope you know that I never want to let you go.
But there's nothing else that I can really say,
Because my words will never compare to you
And I hope that I'll be able to one day hold you.
