Forgiveness in full measure
Comes through God the Son
Healing balm for every hurt
In the crucified One.
Father, forgive them
For they know not what they do
For they know not what they do
Forgiving power through Christ the Son
No love was ever more true.

Who in His dying moments
As He hung there on the cross
Extended grace and mercy
To whom He suffered loss.
Yet in our living moments
We are quick to say
I will never forive them
When harm comes our way.

But when we learn of Jesus
Who was meek and mild
Who bore those wounds on Calvary
For every man and child.
Forgive us for our trespasses Lord
For we have trespassed much
Help us to extend forgiveness
Through Your loving touch.

Forgiveness brings such cleansing
And offers full release
From every sin that binds us
And gives the Saviours' peace.
Peace brings joy and gladness
My heart is filled with praise
I'll praise You all my days.

Sometimes to say, 'Forgive me! '
Or simply, 'I forgive you.'
Will be the door of blessing
To lead another through.
Keep in mind dear brother
The value of this treasure
Christ Himself gave His life
Forgiveness in Full Measure!
