FORGIVENESS IS THE FULCRUM

Forgiveness is the fulcrum
On which our faith should hinge
Not one of revengefulness
That would be a sin
For a heart
truly forgiven
Is swift to bring with love
Solutions to the table
The forgiveness of our God

For harbouring anger and bitterness
Creates a sourpuss
And a heart that isn't merry
Isn't worth that much
For weighty are the matters
That come to us each day
Because we have forgiven hearts
We swiftly learn to pray

If your quick to be attacking
Thinking you are always right
Then you don't know the forgiveness
That's perfect in God's sight
For He has called His children
To trust Him and obey
Have a problem brother?
Then turn to God and pray

Forgiveness is the trademark
Of each believing one
We should not grieve the Spirit
By which we know the Son
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We trust in nothing less
This truly is our fulcrum of faith
Having a heart of forgiveness!
