Forgotten Poem by jenni carter

Forgotten

I thought that my leaving would rip you apart
break you down tear at your heart
leaving you bruised and shattered a mess on the floor
wishing that things could be the way it had been before
but instead of the missing me Like I expected you to
you don't even care that I'm not there next to you
all of the nights we laid next each other
all the times we fought to be together
and when i move to the only place that could take me
you push me aside and make it hard not to see
that i was a quick fix nothing more than just a little fun
and when i moved you didn't miss me i thought you were the one
my hope my love my burning desire
the one who set my world on fire
but i was wrong
