break you down tear at your heart
leaving you bruised and shattered a mess on the floor
wishing that things could be the way it had been before

it wasn't hard to see
every time I'd look into your eyes I'd see just how you felt
just hearing your voice would make my heart melt

I never meant to feel anything more for you than that for a friend
but the moment I met you that mere idea I knew would come to a end
