I Love You Wasn'T A Lie Part 2 Poem by jenni carter

I Love You Wasn'T A Lie Part 2

When you left me everything was meaningless
I didn't see any reason at all
I just want to let my knees give out so I'd fall
on the ground and lay there crying with my eyes closed wanting nothing more than to be numb
I found out to late that you were the only one
my heart wanted the one made for me and that mistake
I made ripped the best the ever had
Away from me and as I begged for emptinness and to be numb
I was nothing but sad
I'd cry and cry and wish to die
but it was no ones fault but my own
that I was all alone
while you were off looking for someone who can replace the way
I made you feel
I guess all the I love you's you told me wasn't real
but I know it was your way at trying to make me see
that you didn't need me
you wanted to hurt me the way I hurt you and I had to find out I was replaced
not by you telling me but around it was hearbreaking to know how easily those memories could be erased
and see how fast you found a new love
I guess you never loved me enough
you didn't want to try anymore
and it cut me to my very core
