Forgotten Poem by keith brown

Forgotten

We spoke in words of anger
Fighters toe to toe

Silence
Our only defence
From words that fell like blows

Quarter
Neither asked nor given
From words that took their toll

Bruised hearts
That lay forgiven as
Love repairs each soul

Neither fighter winning
This
Fight without a glove

Lets call last night
Forgotten
And
Mend our wounds with
Love
