Forgotten Gandhi
Tuesday,3rd March 2020
Your gospel
really spoke well
world remembers your word
There is no other option than to look forward
you spoke of non-violence
and world became tense
there was no other sentence
"grant us the independence"
Freedom is my right
I shall fight
till the death embraces
and makes missed chances
let poor get smile
let their happiness file
the happiest moment
it shall then be my proudest moment
independence has now become reality
but what is stark reality?
we have forgotten Gandhi and his land
non-violence has come to an end
we take the sacred oath in the name
speak lies and still claim
stage sit in demonstration before your statue
but pay no regards or dues
Bapu*(father) you have gone
they have made it undone
everything is sworn on your principle
people suffer and nation struggle
they all want money for service
no shame for promises forgotten
people also don't want peace and harmony
what shall I dream of or want in the country?
