Forlorn Yearning Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Forlorn Yearning

My heart deceiving, I am forever near you
Where is thy rainbow that leads so far away
I am believing in love long forgotten
Somehow my thoughts have lost you in some way

I have dreamed, so many daydreams
When I sleep a vision forms a lovely face
Oh my Bright Eyes- Why am I lonely
What promise made you fall so far from grace

Once, perfect love was for none other
Then vowed truelove went astray
So cruelly broken before an answer
Now alone with thoughts I lay

To be conveyed in such a manner
Time turned out to be a waiting cage
Ending with the awful laughter
So uncaring for such pain

Desire altered into forlorn yearning
Forgiveness without the share of blame
And still after so many years of silence
In mid of nightmares; I call your name
