Forsake Me Not Lord Poem by Qiniso Mogale

Forsake Me Not Lord

In a world where parents easily abandon their children
In a world where siblings easily forsake each other
In a world where relatives drop each other like bad habits
In a world where supposed friends easily betray their friends
Remember me dearest Christ
Forsake me not Lord.

In a chaotic world
In a confused world
In a corrupted world
In a morally bankrupt world
In a world devoid of truth
In a world that lacks integrity
In a world devoid of honesty
In a world full of landmines
Remember me dearest Christ
Forsake me not Lord.

In a world where those who claim to serve God serve satan
In a world where churches are now the devil's stronghold
In a world where political leaders long lost their integrity
In a world where world leaders have banana backbones
Remember me dearest Christ
Forget me not Lord.
