Fortune Telling Poem by Dorsey Baker

Fortune Telling

The smile
upon
the face of a clown
it aint real
its just a painted one
you cannot
judge a book
by the cover
you've got to
read between the lines
and you cannot
live in the past
you've got to
change with the times
some people can read you
just like a book
tell exactly
what you are thinking
just by the way you look
you can be a wise man
or you can be a fool
but just don't
break the
golden rule!
