Forty Pleasant Quatrains [13 To 15] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Pleasant Quatrains [13 To 15]

13.It is better to die once one loses the honour. Without damaging,
one's shelter, one should live in joy, restraining oneself.
It is a delight to the people world over
if one becomes rich by honest means.

14.It is exciting to the parents to see their children tottering.
Listening to the baby-talk is sweeter than the elixir.
When calamities strike a doer of great deeds
it is amiable if he loses no hope.

15.The greatness of not glancing at someone's wife is heartening.
The rains invigorate the fading green crops without water.
It is exciting to hear the trumpet of the huge
hill-like elephants in the palace-portal of a brave king.
