Found Poem by Samanda Jane Skerry

All I ever wanted was to find my dad,
I searched and searched with the limited info I had.
The salvation army helped all they could. I hoped and prayed they would come back with news that was good.
But luck was not meant to be.
so I turned to the net
But there was nothing to see.
Years went by, and my brother visited our old home. And got an address but no phone.
I wrote and wrote but he was no longer there. My heart dropped in total despair.
Then one night, after many more years, I found a poet and I just knew, I had found him and was in tears.
I looked him up in the white pages, but to call him seemed like ages.
It was only 2 days before I made that call, and when said my name, the lump in my throat became like a ball. Choking back tears, and my head ringing. My heart so full of wonder and joy, my soul was singing
