Four: Twenty Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Four: Twenty

Like opening my eyes for the first time
it makes me see
I hear thing's I've never heard
I believe I can be the things, I never thought I'd be

red robins singing
as I watch the swing sway
for a moment I leave the past
and I'm living in today

life will always be a challenge
no matter how hard you try
people will hurt and mislead you
people are going to die

like the gentle blowing breeze
I see you not with my eyes
I can feel you are around
this I've come to realize

you'll always be a part of me
and live on in my heart
as long as I remember you
I know we shall not part
