Fragnance Of Friendship Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Fragnance Of Friendship

Rating: 5.0

One day I walked to a barren field
And saw no plants, no flowers, no weed
But a nice fragrance filled my nose
I looked about but I could see no rose
The air smelled of narcissus
I picked up a handful clay
And brought it to my nose
It smelled too of narcissus
I asked myself loudly why
The answer came from the sky
This air and this clay were a constant companion of roses
Here was a field once filled with narcissus and roses
That is why the space here is filled with the perfume of roses
