Fragrant White Rose Poem by Grant House

Fragrant White Rose

Everything is going to be okay
Small things you do today
Like the idea of a rose
May come into being
Fragrant, soft to the touch, magnificent

Your kind word to a stranger
Barely heard above the din of present danger
A sweet wisp of good intention
May shift the course of time
Fulfilling, wholesome in spirit, breathtaking

A shoulder touched, a glance of encouragement
Shared in private, no expectation of repayment
The essence of friendship
May live on for generations
Powerful, distant waves pulsing, unknown lives uplifted

The very moment of your connection with another
Heart to heart interaction
Like a longed for homecoming
Expands the footprint of your soul beyond comprehension
Your life's purpose realized, awesome impact resonating, universal love overflowing

Fragrant white rose unfolds in purple garden glowing
Softly touches our experience of living
Gives hope when it is most needed
Untold millennia beyond the idea of a rose beginning

Your smallest kindnesses, encouragements, connections
Live lives fragrant, hope giving, softly touching
Unconcealing what is always so
The reason you were brought here
To say in whatever way that suits you
To someone, maybe me
Everything is going to be okay
