Frantic Search Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We have spent great part of life in frantic search
It has taken quite number of years to reach
Such a place where we can say with pride
“Here is heaven created for us to take refuge and hide”

Now that heavenly empire is likely to be demolished
One of us is likely to be permanently away or finished
We have discharged all our obligations and responsibilities
As of now we are happy couple and feel so proud of utility

We did whatever we could in our normal capacity
It was dream of ordinary person with ordinary quality
Yet it showed us the reasonable and ideal pursuit
We were at little comfort and but mostly it did suit

As it happens with all living being on earth
We are been threatened with shot sure death
She is suffering from deadly disease
Life is going to be difficult and not at ease

Little thunder and lightening creates panic
Our heart shrinks fast to forget all basics
Any time she will be in death’s jaw
I am able to read and same feelings also saw

She may not tell her desperation
But we had very solid relation
Complete understanding with no hesitation
That we may have to part with without question

I try to consoler her inevitable
You got to concede even if you are capable
God is there to take care of all
We have to get prepared and respond to the call

I saw some shine in her eyes
It was full of anxieties and why’s
I sincerely shook her hand and tried to hold
Sang all hymns to inject with citations and told her to be bold

She wants to tell me something
But I fail to catch the theme as heard nothing
She slips deep in comma with no movement
I see nothing from her side to speak or comment
