Free Poem by Butterflies In My Belly Forever

Feeling frozen as my fingers and mouth burn like no other.
Numb from the pain inside as my tears I can no longer hide.
Wonder why the depth of this pain,
Praying it washes away with the rain.
Inside I am wondering how I got here,
Filled with anxiety, hurt and fear.
I am wanting to break free from this spell I seem to be in.
Looking around and all is lost.
No family, no friends and not a spirit to connect with except for the one who needs me.
What is it that happens to us when everything fails,
Walk everyday like you are dragging thru hell.
I want to break free so desperately and be as free as a huge oak tree.
Standing still thru the test of time,
Standing tall to see everything good and bad yet free to sway in the wind.
