To fling my arms wide
In some place of the sun,
To tangle and to talk
Till the bright day is gone.
Then rest at cool evening
Beneath a tall tree
Wrapped in the waves of green
While night comes on gently,
Dark like me-
That is my dream!
To fling my arms wide
In the face of the sun,
Tangle, twirl and share
Till the amazing day is done.
Rest at pale evening...
A tall, slim tree...
With you beside me
Night coming tenderly
Black like me.
To wake again
In the pale rays of sun
Chasing out the darkness
Feel thine hand pressed gently
spreading my arms wildly
You pressed tightly
The bright day comes forth
Light and bright like you
