Freedom Of Expression - Poem by Hasmukh Amathalal

The corruption has come to stay
As global tendency has shown the way
Thrive for freedom of expression
Escape through the intelligent confession

“Human is to err” the humanitarian organizations plead
Even the rapist and terrorist must lead
Happy life in prison and be granted
All sort of assistance when wanted

Rich must have new sets of law
That shall afford him man d allow
Endless legal wrangle for years
Meanwhile he shall have remedies to hear

Poor may be hanged for no reason
As no assistance shall rush to poor person
No parole, no leniency or access
He has tough sentence to face

No one wants restriction
Parliament has been declared as holy institution
Where criminals become pure by back door entry
They then frame law and act as sentry

“In the name of god” an oath they take
Judiciary watches helplessly as criminals enjoy cake
All promises are hollow and democracy is made farce
Legal pundits worship freedom of expression of course
