Freedom Of Speech Poem by Raymond Farrell

Freedom Of Speech

Freedom of speech
Is a means to an end
If all you get to do
Is talk all the livelong day
You'll end up no further ahead
At the end of the day
Than you were at the beginning
It is wonderful
To have freedom of speech
But it is not
The be all and end all
Anymore than the gas
You put in your car
Which fuels the car's engine
Could by itself
Take you anywhere.
