Freedom Poem by Raymond Farrell

Freedom

Rating: 5.0

What does this word mean
Is there a common theme
Opposing forces employ its use
In endless word abuse
Putting the world in disarray
Causing many to lose their way
Free the poor, free the slave
Free the prisoners, free the knave
Free everyone, and everything
Let the bells of freedom ring
But cast aside responsibility
And invite calamity
For what will come to be
Is Freedom's Anarchy.

Pithy and very relevant poem, a poetic portrait of the world's scenario that is tragically happening all around us. Great intense writing.
