Freely It Was Given Poem by Adams King

Freely It Was Given

Rating: 2.5

Love has come to shine on your visage
Count yourself lucky to have me dear
Many men listened to a faulty adage
And bottled up their feelings in dear

The best lover a lady have ever had
Are those who never made it known
They act so sweet and good to her
But keep their admiration unknown

Most men have been made to believe
Money unlocks a woman's feelings
My love do not be like those deceived
When a woman loves she loves for real

You don't need victories to be my hero
You don't need biceps to be my warrior
You don't need a knock to enter my home
I have given you the keys to my doors

You don't need a ring to make me yours
Just place your hands both upon mine
For they are to me dare and precious
Than any treasure ever seen by my eyes

You don't need money to be mine
The best things in life are for free
You don't need a cup to drink my wine
Your smiles alone brings me much glee

Fear not, nothing can set us apart
I promise you my love, I will never leave
You don't need gold to buy my heart
Freely it was given freely will I give
