French Lesson: -Ailles Poem by Douglas Scotney

English says 'Versailles' correctly,
so should say 'Cornouailles' with ease.

'-aille' is said the same as '-ailles',
so 'muraille' should be a breeze.

'La blancheur' is 'the whiteness';
'the greyness' is 'la grisaille'.

A breeze is not une muraille at all;
one of those is a wall.

'Ease' is 'aisance',
'une bourrasque', 'a squall'.

'Je continue'
is 'I go on'.

'Un juron'
is a curse';

La Bourse is The Stock Exchange';
'une bourse' is 'a purse'.

'A breeze' is 'une brise';
'a gust' is 'une coup';

If I say 'assez'
I'm saying 'that will do'.
