Fresh In Memory Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Fresh In Memory

Strange city I was in
Visiting there
For the first time
At the train station
I just felt
I was lost
"Can you spare a pound"
Someone said
I got surprised
Well dressed
A fine gentleman I thought
He took me to the window
Helped me purchase
A ticket to my destination
Showed me the way
To where the train stops
"Thank you" I said
Two pounds I paid
Quite happily
Incident occurred
Many years back
Remains in memory
Fresh always.
