Freudian Poem by Herbert Nehrlich

Freudian

Rating: 0.5

Blemishes are what you get
when you are not in full control
and when the world's corrupted net
has sucked you in through one small hole.

And by the time it spits you out
you're badly stained and full of it
and as you stand there, you may shout
who is the cause for all this shit.

Well, rest assured it may be you
just follow these astute directions
see if it fits (I mean the shoe)
and if it does, upon reflection,

you've seen the light at last my friend
so if it's something to avoid
this blemish acquisition trend
don't listen to old Sigmund Freud.

Thank you for your comment. However I disagree completely, not with what you say about Freud, no but perhaps if you re-read this you may find what I really meant by that statement. H

Dear Herbert, The whole point of Freuds hypotheses and clinical technique, namely, free association was to get people to take repsonsibilty for their own contribution to their blemishes This is achieved by accessing the unconscious. a brave endeavour for those undertakng analysis Despite what I consider to be your misunderstanding and thus, somewhat misleading poem, I liked it Susan
