Life in a Poem

Friendly Fear/Life In A Poem/Fear - Poem by Life in a Poem

Yes it’s me, its fear again, that feeling to get to know you
I came to meet you a few times, but you didn’t let me in
Let me tell you about myself
I’m your friend, the best you’ll ever have
and the worst there’s ever been
I won’t lie to you, yet I’ll always have your back
Telling you the truth, might sound rude

Where are you running to, why do you avoid me
Why do you turn down every chance to know me
I’m not scary, just lonely, you’ll get used to it trust me
I’m the honest opinion inside your head
That feeling you get in your gut
Not the monster they make me out to be
Or some alien personality
You’re not a robot navigated by remote control
or a shadow that follows around
Be your own king wear your own crown
Let me give you my advice, even though you don’t what to hear it
Let me in to your life, let me give you my opinion
The fear is of fear itself, the feeling to feel and be yourself
It’s not lonely, don’t worry I’ll keep you company
You’ve got the power to tell your own story
So don’t let me sit there collecting dusty and getting rusty
Cause all that will do, is make me more scary
