Friendship Defined Poem by Thomas Sarko

Friendship Defined

Rating: 4.5

What else can I say
Of color, creed, state or race?
We chat as if we’ve been old friends
But what’s the boundary, but what’s the difference
That make people depict lines too much apart?
Is there any variation in the blush of the heart?
How can we mend the halves of the great divides?
When we pretend most of the time, even to light up smiles
Which side are you; the race, the color, the creed or soul?
They often kill the truth and let the lies be told
What about being bold and letting flow your fine intentions?
Things you do that resonate within your soul and define your passion
Its time now that we sat on green grass
Under blue skies and let the hearts circle in disregard of any class.

@ Chinedu, Thanks for reading my work and understanding my point of view. I have looked you up, I must admit, you have such mastering over historical storytelling in verse.

A well articulated poem written with insight, a call for Universal Brotherhood Of Man. A nice piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
