From A Poet To Another Poem by The Lighthouse Keeper

From A Poet To Another

Rating: 5.0

The poetry lies not in the rhymes one produce
Neither in the use of the fanciest of words
Or in the admiration of the readers one might seduce
I leave that to all self-propelled nerds.
It is in the expression of truest inner sight
Expressed through our loveliest emotion
That we help turn readers darkness into light
That is a poor poets only true devotion.
Then our poetry may become a fresh new start
That awaken the same beauty in the readers heart

Time is not an enemy to me,
Though it is limited for various use
It will all be a spent time lost if we
Lose all time we have to the muse.
So I use my wit with caution
And show it for the ones who need
The confidence to find their own devotion
To nurture the wit we all have as a seed
Otherwise the muse eats the hours of my time
All in vain when it feeds these lines with rhyme

'It is in the expression of truest inner sight Expressed through our loveliest emotion That we help turn readers darkness into light That is a poor poets only true devotion.' No other words.. you said it all.. Still, I think that turning darkness into light A much too big task for little heart She tries herself to get out of the dark How can we share what we dont have? For me, myself, I am in need for light, My head and heart, they mostly fight Till they become friends I cannot find One tiny light..so, please, you go on and share few poems..more By reading you, (who knows?) I might find what I am looking for..
