From Deep Heart Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

From Deep Heart

I lay upon her
To lie and offer
With promises not to keep
And made her to weep

She was almost blinded
Under magic spell and never got offended
She had made her point clear
She had never feared

I got her
Very near
And peeped in golden eyes
She was sincerely trying
And fact was underlying

I could get nothing
Who was actually cheating?
Who was gaining ground?
And who was losing round

"Oh God" I realized first time
Why was she not lying at all times?
She was coming round corner
Wit all that I was asking as sweet offer

The referee raised his hand
Called me down to accept her as friend
I smiled from deep heart
To lie down is really an art too
