A breath, a cry, a world unknown,
soft hands grasping at the air,
the warmth of arms, the hush of voices,
a life beginning in the quiet dawn.
Steps unsteady, laughter light,
days stretch wide like open fields,
curiosity like a fire rising,
burning through the weight of years.
Dreams like rivers twist and turn,
love arrives and fades like seasons,
faces come and go like shadows,
time moves forward, never still.
Lines etch deep upon the skin,
the heart beats slower, softer,
memories settle in the silence,
a lifetime gathered in the dusk.
Then breath again, but now a whisper,
the hands once grasping fall to rest.
The earth receives, the sky stands witness-
a journey ended, whole at last.
