From this soaked Earth, a lone Kashmiri tulip grew,
A tulip of exquisite hues, radiant and true.
It bowed its head to the vivid, watching Sun,
Commanding the cool breeze to dance, its will be done.
Needing so little, yet giving boundless grace,
I pondered its quiet labor in this rooted place.
No answer came, just whispers that kissed the air,
A faint song threading through the breeze's soft snare:
"Beauty, beauty—grandeur rare."
At first, I did not understand,
Until the musk of my tulip's command
Reached my soul's quiet core; I breathed it in.
In the silence of my heart, a hymn began within:
"I am your fragrance; you are my essence."
