Frozen Car Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Frozen Car

Frozen Car

I have pain in muscles
-from snow, shovel.

"Cold, " warns of disaster,
-the weather forecaster.

With the pain all over
-I lay down in my bed
-radio, is friend…

Hear the anchor and
-a woman with nice tone.

The guest is landlord of
-the "Bruce", murderer
-who has killed, as proved
-minimum, eight of gays
-and later dismembered
-scattered, buried them.

Since park car in open
-went, cleaned the space.

Ice, snow, icicles
-had covered vehicles.

Came a man with a cane
-spoke as if gargled.

I asked him to repeat
-he exposed need for help.

Though he asked for shovel
-to clean, where he said,
-I asked him: "Can you wait? "
-Saw he limped, unable
-so, cleaned his as well.

Although calm is brain
-body is too tired;
-need them both, together.
